Mladen Kezunovic

Mladen Kezunovic, Ph.D., P.E., has 40 years of work experience in the utility business spending more than half of his carrier in leading positions in industry and last 25 years simultaneously working at academia as a Professor. He acted as a Principal Investigator on over 150 research projects, mostly related to developing foundation for data analytics for power system disturbance analysis. He is the inventor of the first automated system for digital fault recorder data analysis introduced to the market over 15 years ago. His expertize spans across multiple data analytics issues such as theoretical foundation, solution design and practical implementation. His most recent position was with Test Laboratories International, Inc. as the President and CEO and Principal Consultant for 20 years. He helped company create pioneering solutions for fault analysis and relay testing. At TLI he worked for over 50 major companies around the world, serving as a consultant in over 30 countries on five continents. He also acted as a consultant for several government organizations in China, Canada, and Europe. He contributed to development of several key standards for automated fault analysis such as COMTRADE, COMFEDE, Guide for Fault Location, and Naming Convention for Time-sequence Data. He was closely involved in recent development of synchrophasor standards 37.118.1-2011, 37.118.2-2, 37.242-2012, and 37.244-2012. He is an author of over 400 widely cited journal and conference papers, contributor to over 50 technical reports and gave over 100 invited lectures, seminars and short courses.
