Mladen Kezunovic

Mladen Kezunovic, Ph.D., P.E., has 50 years of work experience serving the utility business as a consultant and last 39 years simultaneously working at academia as a Professor. He was a Principal Investigator on over 200 research projects, mostly related to developing foundation for data analytics for power system disturbance analysis. He is the inventor of the first automated system for digital fault recorder data analysis introduced to the market over 20 years ago. His expertise spans across multiple data analytics issues such as theoretical foundation, solution design and practical implementation. He is the President and CEO of Test Laboratories International, Inc. for 20 years and XpertPower Associates™ for the last 13 years.He consulted for over 80 major companies around the world in over 30 countries on six continents. He also acted as a consultant for several government organizations in Brazil, China, Canada, Europe and Middle East. He contributed to development of several key standards for automated fault analysis such as COMTRADE, COMFEDE, Guide for Fault Location, and Naming Convention for Time-sequence Data. He was closely involved in recent development of synchrophasor standards 37.118.1-2011, 37.118.2-2, 37.242-2012, and 37.244-2012. He is author of two books, contributed to 10 edited books, published over 600 widely cited journal and conference papers, authored over 65 technical reports and gave over 200 invited lectures, seminars and short courses.
